Tuvar prices continue to fall due to lack of buyers

Mumbai. Tuvar prices continued to fall during the current week due to increased selling pressure of imported Tuvar and sluggish buyers. Availability of African Tuvar has started increasing at Mumbai Port. Prices are under pressure due to increased availability and lack of buying of Tuvar dal. Due to increased selling pressure from importers, prices of African Tuvar at Mumbai Port witnessed a fall of Rs. 200/400 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, prices of Mozambique white remained Rs. 9100, Gajari Rs. 8900/9000, Malawi Rs. 8400/8500, Dodomo Rs. 9100 and Sudan Rs. 10550/10600 per quintal. Similarly, Chennai Tuvar Lemon also witnessed a decline of Rs. 600 per quintal and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 9650/9700 per quintal at the weekend.

Burma

Due to weak domestic demand in India, export demand for Tuvar remains weak. Due to which, Burma Tuvar witnessed a decline of $90 per ton this week and with this decline, the price remained at $1155 per ton at the weekend.

Delhi

Due to the impact of port decline and negligible demand, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs. 600 and Desi Tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 400 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 10150/10200 for Lemon, Rs. 10600 for Maharashtra line and Rs. 10800 per quintal for Karnataka line at the weekend.

Maharashtra

Due to lack of customers for Tuvar dal, the buying of Tuvar by dal millers has remained absolutely calm. Due to which, Maharashtra Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal this week and the prices at the weekend remained at Solapur Rs. 10500/11100, Akola Rs. 10900/11200, Nagpur Rs. 11250, Hinganghat Rs. 10000/10500, Latur Rs. 10700/11000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10700/10900 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to weak buying, Karnataka Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 10800/11254, Yadgir Rs. 10500 and Talikot Rs. 8500/10304 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to sluggish buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Rs. 11200/11300 for Katni, Rs. 8000/10300 for Jabalpur, Rs. 8000/9900 for Pipariya and Rs. 9700/9950 per quintal for Kareli at the weekend.

Others

Due to the impact of all-round fall and sluggish demand, Raipur tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 400 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 11100/11400 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur tuvar also fell by Rs. 300 per quintal during the current week and remained at Rs. 9600 per quintal at the weekend.

Tuvar Dal

Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal declined by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15400/16000, Katni Fatka Rs. 14850/15050, Akola Rs. 15000/16300, Latur Fatka Rs. 15800/16000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 15300/15800 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15200/15600 per quintal.
