Buying of Tuvar vanished due to lack of buyers
Mumbai. Due to increase in availability of imported Tuvar at the port and sluggish demand, Tuvar prices declined during the current week as well. Due to lack of lifting of Tuvar dal, buying of Tuvar by dal millers remained weak due to which one-sided decline in Tuvar prices continued. The time for new crop is also coming near and the condition of Tuvar crop is also good. Due to continued selling by importers and demand, the prices of African Tuvar at Mumbai port witnessed a decline of Rs. 200/450 per quintal this week and the prices at the end of the week remained Mozambique white Rs. 8050/8100, Gajari Rs. 8000/8050, Malawi Rs. 7600/7700, Dodomo Rs. 7800 and Sudan Rs. 10450 per quintal. Similarly, Chennai Tuvar Lemon also witnessed a decline of Rs. 225 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 9450/9525 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, a decline of $ 55 per tonne was recorded in Burma Tuvar this week and with this decline, the price remained at $ 1140 per tonne at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port decline and demand remaining sluggish, during the current week, a decline of Rs. 350 was recorded in Delhi Tuvar Lemon and Rs. 200 per quintal in Desi Tuvar and with this decline, the price of Lemon remained at Rs. 9850, Maharashtra line Rs. 10500 and Karnataka line Rs. 10700 per quintal at the end of the week. Due to lack of buyers, Maharashtra Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Solapur Rs. 10200/10800, Akola Rs. 10400/10600, Nagpur Rs. 10600/10650, Hinganghat Rs. 9100/9620, Latur Rs. 10600/10800 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10500/10700 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish buying, Karnataka Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 10800/11300, Yadgir Rs. 10315/10515 and Talikota Rs. 8500/10500 per quintal at the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 300/400 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 10750/10850 for Katni, Rs. 8000/9700 for Jabalpur, Rs. 8000/8600 for Pipariya and Rs. 6000/9000 per quintal for Kareli at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and sluggish demand, Raipur tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 300 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs. 10600/10900 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur tuvar also declined by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and remained at Rs. 9500 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15050/15650, Katni Fatka Rs. 14600/14800, Akola Rs. 15000/16200, Latur Fatka Rs. 15800/16000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 14600/15400 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 14700/15100 per quintal.
