Tuvar prices continue to decline as buying remains weak
Mumbai. Tuvar prices remained bearish during the current week due to selling pressure and lack of customer support.
Due to lack of lifting of Tuvar dal, buying by stockists and dal millers remained limited, due to which prices continued to fall. Due to availability at the port and increased selling by importers, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs 75 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price of lemon remained at Rs 6650/6700 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai African Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs 100/200 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, the prices remained Mozambique White Rs 6750, Gajari Rs 6500/6550, Malawi Rs 6400/6450 and Dodomo Rs 6300 per quintal.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, Burma Tuvar prices declined by $10 per ton this week and with this decline, the price remained at $805 per ton at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port prices and sluggish demand, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs 75 per quintal and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a decline of Rs 75 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price of Lemon remained at Rs 7100 and Desi at Rs 7300/7400 per quintal at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Tuvar prices declined by Rs 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs 6500/7150 for Solapur, Rs 7150/7350 for Akola, Rs 7400 for Nagpur and Rs 6500/7200 per quintal at Dudhni.
Karnataka
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Karnataka tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the weekend prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 6000/7200, Raichur Rs. 6333/7109, Yadgir Rs. 6728/7099 and Talikot Rs. 6000/7209 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying by dal millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this decline, the weekend prices remained at Katni Rs. 7050/7150, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/76800, Pipariya Rs. 5500/6900 and Kareli Rs. 5700/6800 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, the price of Raipur Tuvar fell by Rs 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs 7450 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, the prices of Kanpur Tuvar fell by Rs 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs 7150 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Tuvar prices and weak demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices have become Delhi Fatka Rs. 10550/10850, Katni Fatka Rs. 10250/10600, Akola Rs. 10100/11300, Latur Fatka Rs. 10800/11000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 9800/10500 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 10500/10900 per quintal.
