Tuvar prices continue to fall due to sluggish demand
Mumbai. Tuvar prices declined this week too due to sluggish selling pressure and sluggish demand. Due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal, buying by dal millers remained sluggish, which kept the prices under pressure. Due to increased selling by importers and lack of customers, Chennai Tuvar Lemon registered a decline of Rs 400 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs 9750/9850 per quintal at the end of the week. Similarly, African Tuvar also registered a decline of Rs 100 per quintal this week and with the decline, the price remained at Rs 9300/9400 for Mozambique White, Rs 9100/9200 for Gajari, Rs 9000 for Malawi and Rs 10650/10700 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a decline of 55 dollars per tonne this week and with this decline, the price remained at 1165 dollars per tonne at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to sluggish demand due to the fall in port prices, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of 350 rupees and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a decline of 300 rupees per quintal and with this decline, the price of Lemon remained at 10350 rupees, Maharashtra line at 10650 rupees and Karnataka line at 10850 rupees per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to sluggish demand, Maharashtra Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 400/600 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Solapur Rs. 10700/11200, Akola Rs. 10900/10950, Nagpur Rs. 11000/11200, Hinganghat Rs. 9700/10700 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10450/10650 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, Karnataka Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 400/500 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 10000/11103, Yadgir Rs. 9999/10399 and Talikot Rs. 9209/10600 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to increased selling and sluggish buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 200/500 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 11200/11300 for Katni, Rs. 8000/10100 for Jabalpur, Rs. 8000/10500 for Pipariya and Rs. 8800/9600 per quintal for Kareli at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Raipur tuvar declined by Rs. 400 per quintal and remained at Rs. 11100/11400 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur tuvar also remained sluggish by Rs. 600 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 9600 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the fall in prices of Tuvar and calm demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 200/400 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend stood at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15600/16150, Katni Fatka Rs. 14850/15050, Akola Rs. 14900/16200, Latur Fatka Rs. 16000/16200, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 15000/15600 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15000/15400 per quintal.
