One-sided fall in Urad prices due to lack of customers

Chennai. Urad prices have also declined during the current week due to increased selling pressure and weak demand.
Due to sluggish demand for Urad Dal and Urad Gota, buying of Urad by dal millers has remained limited, due to which rising prices are not getting support. Due to increased selling by importers and weak buying, Chennai Urad prices have declined by Rs 75/100 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price at the weekend remained at FAQ Rs 7000 and SQ Rs 7525 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai Urad prices have also declined by Rs 75 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs 7100 per quintal.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, Burma Urad FAQ witnessed a decline of $ 15 and SQ witnessed a decline of $ 15 per tonne during the current week and with this decline, the price of FAQ remained at $ 805 per tonne and SQ at $ 885 per tonne at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the impact of the port's decline and the slow buying by the dal millers, the price of Urad in Delhi witnessed a decline of Rs 75/125 per quintal this week. And with this decline, the price remained at Rs 7400 for FAQ and Rs 7950 for SQ at the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak demand, the price of urad in Madhya Pradesh has declined by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 4000/7300 in Jabalpur, Rs. 5000/6300 in Tikamgarh and Rs. 7000/7700 per quintal in Indore at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to weak demand from dal millers, the price of urad in Maharashtra has declined by Rs. 150/200 per quintal this week. And with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 7250 in Akola, Rs. 5800/6900 in Latur, Rs. 7100/7550 in Jalgaon, Rs. 5800/6900 in Barshi and Rs. 5000/6500 per quintal at Ahmednagar at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and sluggish demand, Jaipur Urad prices recorded a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and with this decline the price remained at Rs. 7100/7900 per quintal. Similarly, in Krishna District and Vijayawada, Urad prices recorded a decline of Rs. 150 per quintal this week and at the end of the week the price remained at Rs. 7301 in Krishna District and Rs. 7100/7300 per quintal in Vijayawada.
Urad Dal
Due to the impact of decline in Urad prices and sluggish demand, Urad Dal prices recorded a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and at the end of the week the price remained at Rs. 9150/10900 in Delhi, Rs. 9800 in Bhatapara, Rs. 10100 in Jalgaon, Rs. 8200/8900 in Meerut and Rs. 9400/12600 per quintal in Indore.
