Limited ups and downs in wheat prices in other mandis except Dewas

New Delhi. The arrival of new goods of wheat, the most important food grain of Rabi season, is happening in full swing in the important mandis of all the major producing states and it is being purchased in large quantities by government agencies as well as flour millers / processors and traders / stockists. Wheat prices are fluctuating by Rs 50-75 per quintal, but during the week of 19-25 May, the price of wheat in Dewas Mandi of Madhya Pradesh fell from Rs 2450 to Rs 2350 per quintal, while on the top it jumped from Rs 3000 to a high of Rs 3500 per quintal.
Delhi
During the week under review, the price of wheat remained at the previous level of Rs 2650/2660 per quintal in Delhi, Rs 2400/2900 per quintal in Rajkot and Rs 2420/2975 per quintal in Indore. Wheat is arriving in Delhi every day between 6 to 12 thousand sacks.
MP / Rajasthan
The pace of wheat supply in the mandis of Madhya Pradesh has started slowing down, but it is arriving in huge quantities in Kota and Bundi in Rajasthan. In Kota, the daily arrival is reported to have increased to one lakh sacks. Similarly, 35-40 thousand sacks of wheat are reaching Bundi every day. Almost stability is being seen in the prices there. There are also indications of increase in the daily arrival of wheat in various mandis of Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh
During the week, the price of wheat in Shahjahanpur Mandi of Uttar Pradesh improved by Rs 36 to Rs 2495/2521 per quintal, which was higher than the government support price of Rs 2425 per quintal. In other major mandis also, the price of wheat is running around or slightly above the minimum support price, so the pace of government procurement is relatively slow there. However, in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the Railway Department has been requested not to provide railway racks to the wheat traders of the state to send their stock to other states.
Procurement target
Government procurement of wheat has already reached 200 lakh tonnes, which is much higher than last year. This time the government has set a target of purchasing 312.70 lakh tonnes of wheat at the national level. Which may be achieved. This time a special thing is that traders / stockists are purchasing wheat in large quantities, due to which there may be good availability of it in the market.
