Wheat Prices Continue to Decline:
★ After wheat was sold under the OMSS scheme, prices initially saw an increase. On January 4, wheat in Delhi sold at a high of Rs. 3,160 per quintal, but since then, prices have been falling. Yesterday, Delhi wheat closed at Rs. 3,075, which is Rs. 285 per quintal lower than the peak.
★ Other markets have also witnessed a decline in prices. This drop is considered natural, as the previous price rise was not sustainable.
★ I Grain India believes that stability might set in at these levels starting next week, suggesting that the ongoing price decline could halt temporarily.
★ It remains to be seen whether the quantity of wheat in upcoming tenders will be increased.
