Wheat prices saw a decline this week
This week saw a notable decline in wheat prices across various markets:
Delhi wheat prices dropped by Rs. 105 per quintal, closing at Rs. 3080 on Friday compared to Rs. 3185 on Monday.
In Madhya Pradesh mandis, prices fell by Rs. 10-35.
Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh saw a decline of Rs. 90, with wheat selling at Rs. 2751 on Friday.
Other mandis also experienced price drops in the range of Rs. 10-60.
These lower wheat prices have had a ripple effect on the prices of flour, maida, and semolina, which also saw price reductions. The high wheat prices from the previous week had already started to affect consumer demand, but with the decline this week, the pressure on consumers may ease slightly.
The price adjustments reflect the broader trend in agricultural commodity markets where fluctuations in supply, demand, and external factors often influence pricing dynamics.
