Winter crops in Australia benefit from current month's rains

Brisbane. Sowing of winter crops - wheat, canola, gram, lentil and barley etc. had started with limited rainfall in Australia's Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia provinces and due to lack of good rainfall in the initial stage of progress, the crops were in danger,
but the rain in June has saved these crops from crisis. Winter has started in Australia and cold weather can slow down the growth of crops. There was a need to use urea in the crops and for this, it was necessary to have sufficient moisture in the fields.
The weather and rainfall conditions in Southern Queensland and New South Wales provinces have remained favorable to a great extent. But the situation is being seen differently in Victoria and Western Australia. Due to the sowing of some crops at the right time, their growth is happening normally, but in some areas the pace of its progress is slow.
There has been good rainfall in the current month (June) in the important agricultural producing areas of South Australia, but the condition of the crops in its south-eastern part and the western districts of the adjacent Victoria province is not good.
The weather there was the driest in the first half of this year since 1967. The demand for grains and pulses has started increasing in these areas and buyers are stocking them. Generally, better production of oats and gram is expected in Australia.
