A private export sale of 273,988 MT of corn to unknown destinations was reported this morning.
USDA’s catch-up process continued today. The Export Sales report for the week ending October 16 showed 2.82 MMT of corn booked for 2025/26, exceeding the trade estimate of 1.4–2.5 MMT. Another 571,502 MT was sold for 2026/27, falling within the trade expectation of 0.5–1 MMT. Total sales reached 3.394 MMT, the highest in exactly one year, though below the 4.183 MMT recorded in the same week last year.
Total export commitments remain 42.9% above last year at 33.56 MMT (1.32 billion bushels), marking a record high for the current week.
Data for the week ending October 23 will be released Monday morning, with traders expecting corn bookings between 1.1 and 2.5 MMT.
