ICE cotton futures fell by 11 points in the front-month contracts on Wednesday, with other contracts also trading lower. Crude oil futures rose 37 cents to $59.01 per barrel, while the U.S. Dollar Index dropped 0.476 to 98.820.
The December 2 online auction from The Seam saw 15,688 bales sold at an average price of 61.31 cents/lb. The Cotlook A Index fell 10 points on Tuesday to 74.95 cents. ICE-certified cotton stocks remained steady on December 2 at 19,894 bales. The Adjusted World Price was updated last week to 50.77 cents/lb, down 3 points from the previous week, with another update due Thursday.
