Cumin (Jeera) – Prices Decline
08-Dec-2025 05:54 PM
New Delhi. Cumin prices have weakened due to ample stocks at producing centres and subdued buying from exporters. At present, there are no strong indications of a major price rise. Although reports suggest a reduction in cumin sowing this year at producing centres, prices are not increasing because of the sufficient stock already available.
Futures markets are also reflecting a weak trend. In Gujarat, mandi prices declined by ₹300–400. In Rajasthan’s Merta, Jodhpur, and Nagaur markets, prices fell by ₹200–300. In the futures market as well, Jeera closed lower, with December contracts down by ₹605 and January contracts down by ₹720.
