Cumin- Prices Fall

Chennai. Cumin prices remained soft even today. Sources say that apart from no export demand, local demand is also limited in the market.

Futures markets are also quoted with a decline. Due to which, even today the prices of cumin in the spot markets have been quoted with a decline of Rs 400/500 per quintal.

In the first two days of the current week, the spot prices of cumin have fallen by Rs 900/1000 per quintal. Sources believe that there is no possibility of much increase in cumin prices right now.

Because the arrival of new cumin has started in foreign countries and this year there are reports of more cumin production in foreign countries as well. Due to which the export of cumin will be affected in the coming days. In the futures market today, June cumin closed with a decline of Rs 715 and July's Rs 505.
