Emphasis needed in wheat for future roadmap

New Delhi. In the two-day Global CEO Conclave organized by Wheat Products Promotion Society (WPPS), emphasis was laid on the need to prepare a comprehensive, integrated and clear roadmap for the future of the wheat sector and suggestions were made to maintain innovation and continuity. 450 participants registered to participate in this important and useful conference and representatives from more than 15 countries of the world participated in this program, which also included America, Canada, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Australia and member countries of the European Union.

In this conclave, the need for innovation and continuity along with mutual cooperation was emphasized. A statement issued by WPPS said that keeping in mind the suggestions and recommendations given in the conclave, all the stakeholders of the wheat industry can work together to ensure a prosperous and safe future for the global sector, which will benefit the producers and consumers of the whole world as well as the environment.

According to the statement, since the wheat industry is constantly growing, the ideas put forward in the conclave held in New Delhi and the suggestions given by experts and analysts will act as a guide for the future of this sector and will prove helpful in achieving the target set for Vision 2030.

It is worth mentioning that the countries which participated in this conclave contribute to about 90 percent of the gross global export of wheat. This includes major exporting countries like Russia, USA, Australia, Canada and Ukraine.

The global market of wheat is expected to grow to $258.70 billion by the year 2027, but many countries may have to face some other challenges including climate change and global warming and problems like fluctuations in demand.
