FCI sold 22.5% of rice under the Open Market Scheme this week
★ Out of the total 2.67 lakh tonnes of rice allocated under the OMSS, 60,000 tonnes, i.e., 22.5%, were sold.
★ According to the agency's data, since August, FCI has been able to sell only 20.2 lakh tonnes or 36% of the total 56.4 lakh tonnes of rice under this scheme.
