🌱 India’s Oilseed Production to Reach 700 Lakh Tonnes by 2030-31

✅ ₹10,103.38 crore allocated for the program

📊 Current Scenario:
🔹 Domestic oilseed production: 390 lakh tonnes
🔹 Target by 2030-31: 700 lakh tonnes
🔹 India’s edible oil imports: 150+ lakh tonnes annually
🔹 Dependence on imports: 57%

🌾 Key Oilseeds Focused Under the Mission:
🔹 Major Crops: Soybean, Mustard, Groundnut
🔹 Lesser-produced crops: Sunflower, Sesame, Linseed, Nigerseed, Safflower
🔹 Oil Palm Development: To reduce palm oil imports

🔹 Enhancing oil extraction from secondary sources
🔹 Boosting domestic edible oil production to cut imports
