Govt may procure 2.7 mln tn chana to replenish buffer stock
★ The central government is likely to approve the procurement of 5.46 lakh tons of additional chana from Rajasthan for the 2024-25 crop year (Jul-Jun).
★ Without Rajasthan's contribution, the initial target was 2.16 million tons, but with the approval, the total target could reach 2.7 million tons.
