President Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs have excluded Mexico and Canada from the list, maintaining exemptions for all USMCA-compliant goods. A baseline tariff of 24% has been imposed on Japan, 25% on South Korea, and 10% on Colombia, effective from April 9.
According to the weekly EIA data, ethanol production increased by 10,000 barrels per day in the week ending March 28, bringing total production to 1.063 million barrels per day. Stocks declined by 738,000 barrels to 26.612 million. Refiner input rose by 20,000 barrels per day to 898,000 barrels per day, while exports fell to 62,000 barrels per day—the lowest since July.
Export Sales data, released Thursday morning, is expected to show 2024/25 corn bookings between 0.8 to 1.6 million metric tons (MMT). New crop bookings are estimated to be between 0 and 100,000 metric tons.
