USDA reported a private export sale of 130,480 metric tons of corn to unknown destinations this morning. Weekly data will be released on Thursday, with traders expecting corn sales between 0.8 and 2.1 million metric tons for the week ending January 29.

According to EIA data released this morning, ethanol production for the week ending January 30 declined to 956,000 barrels per day, down 158,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Ethanol stocks fell by 264,000 barrels to 25.136 million barrels. Ethanol exports increased by 59,000 barrels per day to 216,000 barrels per day, while refiner inputs of ethanol dropped by 92,000 barrels per day to 791,000 barrels per day.

On Tuesday, a South Korean importer purchased a total of 65,000 metric tons of corn through a private tender.
