ICE cotton futures closed mostly higher during Monday’s session, with gains ranging from 6 to 49 points across most contracts, although the May contract ended 7 points lower.
External market pressure persisted—crude oil futures declined by $1.13 per barrel, while the U.S. dollar index rose by $0.083.
In The Seam's online auction held Thursday, 1,936 bales were sold at an average price of 62.29 cents per pound.
On March 6, the Cotlook A Index increased by 150 points, reaching 76.95 cents per pound.
As of March 7, ICE cotton stocks remained unchanged, with certified stock levels at 14,488 bales.
Last Thursday afternoon, the USDA reduced the Adjusted World Price (AWP) by 201 points, bringing it down to 51.88 cents per pound.
