ICE cotton futures declined on Wednesday, with contracts falling by 70 to 106 points. Crude oil prices dropped 66 cents per barrel, and the U.S. dollar index fell by 0.404 to 98.755.
According to NOAA’s 7-day rainfall forecast, the coming week may bring widespread rain from Texas to the East Coast.
On Tuesday, The Seam reported 1,957 bales sold at an average price of 62.04 cents per pound.
On June 3, the Cotlook A Index rose by 115 points to 78.60. ICE-certified cotton stocks remained steady on June 3 at 53,700 bales.
The USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) increased by 32 points to 53.84 cents per pound and will remain in effect through Thursday.
