Export sales data, due Thursday, is expected to show soybean sales for the 2024/25 marketing year between 100,000 and 500,000 metric tons. Sales for the new crop are estimated between 0 and 100,000 metric tons. Soybean meal sales are projected between 200,000 and 700,000 metric tons, and soybean oil sales between 5,000 and 35,000 metric tons. These figures are for the week ending May 29.
According to ANEC, Brazil is expected to export 12.55 million tons of soybeans in June, which is below last year’s 13.83 million tons for the same month.
Next week’s weather forecast indicates heavy rainfall in parts of Kansas and the eastern Corn Belt. In contrast, drought conditions are expected to persist in much of Nebraska, eastern Iowa, southern Minnesota, and southeastern South Dakota, potentially lasting more than seven days in some forecasts.
