The USDA’s export sales report due Thursday morning is expected to show net changes between a 200,000-ton reduction and a 100,000-ton increase for the week ending May 29. Sales for the new crop are estimated between 300,000 and 800,000 metric tons.
Egypt’s state grain buyer is reportedly planning to shift wheat shipments away from Ukraine and Russia due to ongoing war tensions, exploring alternative sources. While this shift may not directly affect global wheat availability, it signals that the world’s largest wheat importer is diversifying its supply base.
Heavy rainfall is forecasted in parts of the Southern Plains and the Eastern Corn Belt. This could benefit late-planted crops but may delay early harvest operations in northern regions.
