Delhi
Moong (MP quality) in Delhi remained steady at ₹7,550–7,600/quintal and closed the week at ₹7,700.
Maharashtra
Moong in Latur remained steady at ₹7,000–9,500/quintal. In Ahmednagar, prices remained steady at ₹6,000–8,500/quintal.
Rajasthan
Moong in Jaipur rose from ₹6,900–7,500 to ₹7,000–7,600/quintal. In Merta City, prices rose from ₹6,500–6,900 to ₹6,800–7,100/quintal. In Kishangarh, moong moved from ₹3,000–6,500 to close at ₹4,000–6,800/quintal.
Karnataka
In Gulbarga, prices remained steady at ₹8,000/quintal. In Bidar, moong witnessed a good rise. The price jumped from the highest of ₹8,144/quintal on Monday to ₹9,021/quintal on Friday.
Madhya Pradesh
In Pipariya, moong traded at ₹4,500–7,500/quintal.
Uttar Pradesh
In Lalitpur, moong fluctuated between ₹6,000–7,200 to close at ₹6,500–7,000/quintal.
Moong Dal
In Delhi, washed dal traded at ₹11,000–11,500/quintal, peeled at ₹9,500–10,600/quintal. In Chhattisgarh Bhatapara, Mogar remained stable at ₹9,200–9,600/quintal. In Rajasthan Jodhpur, Mogar remained at ₹9,000–9,500/quintal. Jaipur Mogar increased from ₹8,900 to ₹9,000/quintal.
Sowing data, crop status and future
According to government data till 28.08.25 last week, sowing of Kharif Moong reached 34.11 lakh hectares, which was 33.96 lakh hectares during the same period last year. That is, sowing increased by 15,000 hectares from last year. In most of the moong producing states, the crop is getting damaged due to rain, due to which there are chances of deterioration in the quality of moong grains.
If there is further damage due to rain, then the prices may get support.
