★ 2023-24 में 775.3 लाख टन (520.7 लाख टन चावल) धान की खरीद की गयी।
★ 2022-23 सीजन में 568.7 लाख टन हुई थी चावल की खरीद।
★ विभिन्न सरकारी स्कीम में 380 लाख टन सालाना खपत होती है।
★ भारत चावल के तहत नैफेड, NCCF व केंद्रीय भण्डार ने 15 लाख टन चावल की खरीद की।
★ देश की कई बड़ी संस्थाओं ने सरकार से चावल निर्यात नियमों में ढील देने की मांग की।
