NCDEX May Launch Weather Futures in the Next Six Months: CEO Arun Raste
★ The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) may launch weather futures in the next six months, according to the exchange’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Arun Raste.
★ The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, is already working on this initiative. NCDEX has requested weather data from the past 100 years from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
★ The exchange expects to launch this program within this year.
