Kota. There is limited arrival of coriander in the markets of major producing states because the producers are not showing any haste or hurry in clearing their stock due to the prices not being as per expectations. Local dealers,

Disawari traders and exporters are also not very active in buying coriander. Along with domestic consumption, the price of coriander also depends to a great extent on the export performance. The business of coriander was affected due to rain or cloudy sky for 3-4 days in Ramganj and Hadoti region of Rajasthan, but now the weather has cleared.

During the last weekend, 2500-3000 bags of coriander were recorded in Ramganj Mandi and 1000-1200 bags in Baran.

According to the industry-trade sector, this time the sowing of coriander was very less in Gujarat, whereas it was normal in Rajasthan and a little more in Madhya Pradesh. Overall,

the possibility of some decrease in the domestic production of coriander was expressed, due to which its price rose for some time, but later due to increased selling pressure, the price returned to normal levels.

For some time now, the price of coriander has been fluctuating within a certain limit and unless there is a strong export demand, there is no scope for a major increase in it. There are chances of some increase in prices from August.
