Rice exports rise to over 198 lakh tonnes

📈 India’s Rice Exports Surge to 198.65 Lakh Tonnes in FY 2024-25

📍 New Delhi: India’s rice exports jumped by 35 lakh tonnes, reaching 198.65 lakh tonnes between April 1, 2024, and March 25, 2025, compared to 163.58 lakh tonnes in FY 2023-24.

📌 Key Export Figures (Apr 2024 - Mar 2025):

✅ Total Rice Exports: 198.65 lakh tonnes
✅ Basmati Rice: 59.44 lakh tonnes
✅ Non-Basmati Sella Rice: 90.44 lakh tonnes
✅ Non-Basmati White Rice: 33.23 lakh tonnes
✅ Broken Rice: 7.95 lakh tonnes (export resumed in March 2025)
✅ Other Varieties: 7.59 lakh tonnes

📊 Comparison with FY 2023-24:

✅ Basmati Rice: ⬆️ from 54.90 lakh tonnes to 59.44 lakh tonnes
✅ Non-Basmati Sella Rice: ⬆️ from 75.70 lakh tonnes to 90.44 lakh tonnes
