India’s Rice Production Expected to Reach a Record 1364.37 Lakh Tonnes
New Delhi: The Union Agriculture Ministry, in its second advance estimate, has projected record rice production of 1206.79 lakh tonnes for the Kharif season 2024-25, marking an increase of 74.20 lakh tonnes from 1132.59 lakh tonnes in 2023-24. Additionally, the Rabi season production is estimated at 157.58 lakh tonnes, bringing total domestic rice production to an all-time high of 1364.37 lakh tonnes.
