Moscow. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has suspended export duties on wheat for the current week, based on the calculation of the base export offer price.
As a result, the export duty on wheat will be zero percent from December 10 to 16, 2025. Previously, a duty of 8.9 rubles per ton was in effect.
According to a press release issued by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the decision to suspend export duties has also been made for corn and barley, as their offer prices have fallen below the base level.
The indicative price on which export duties are levied on these grains is currently below or at the base level.
It is noteworthy that the indicative export offer price for wheat in Russia for the current week (December 10-16) is estimated at $226.10 per ton, compared to $227.30 per ton last week.
Although the indicative price for barley is estimated to have improved to $213.60 per ton this week from $210.80 per ton last week, it is still below the accepted or valid threshold for levying export duties.
As for corn, the average indicative price is estimated at $208.50 per ton, which is lower than the price of $211.80 per ton prevalent last week.
The suspension of customs duties will provide relief to Russian exporters and help promote the export of wheat, corn, and barley from the country.
It is worth noting that Russia is the world's leading exporter and the third-largest producer of wheat, and also exports significant quantities of corn and barley.
