Apart from last week’s limited Chinese buying, USDA daily flash sales announcements have been quiet.
According to Commitment of Traders data released this afternoon, speculators added 37,720 contracts to the long side in the week of October 21, mainly by cutting shorts. This lifted their new net long position to 35,329 contracts.
According to the European Commission, EU soybean imports from July 1 to November 30 totaled 4.97 MMT, a drop of 0.78 MMT from the same period last year.
