New Delhi. Donald Trump has won the US Presidential election with a huge margin and after a gap of four years, he will again become the President of America from 20 January 2025. After Trump's return as President, the export of tea, coffee and spices to India and America may increase, while the import of other dry fruits and fresh fruits including almonds from America to India will increase.

America is the largest exporter of agricultural products in the world, but India imports only dry fruits (almonds, walnuts) and fresh fruits (apples, blueberries) from there.

Other agricultural products including corn, soybean and wheat are exported on a large scale from America, but its import in India is either negligible or not.

India is expected to benefit indirectly from Donald Trump's return because the new administration can impose heavy taxes on Chinese products, which will make its import expensive there and then the price of Indian products will reach a competitive level.

An expert from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade says that if America adopts China Plus One strategy, then India will definitely benefit.

According to the expert, India can get good success in increasing market access in America due to reorganization of the supply chain.

There is a possibility of increase in the export of Indian guar gum while soybean meal can also get an opportunity.

During the financial year 2023-24, India's export to America was a little less than $ 5.19 billion. Major agricultural products exported from India include rice, sugar, cotton clothes and spices etc.
