New peanuts are in demand in Gujarat, while the market is soft in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi. Gujarat, the leading producer, has begun receiving a strong inflow of new Kharif peanuts, with the pace expected to increase further next month.
Arrivals
During the week of September 20-26, peanut arrivals increased, reaching 35,000 bags in Gondal, Gujarat, and 40,000 bags in Rajkot. However, as trading returned to normal, prices remained stable at their previous levels of Rs. 4750/6250 per quintal and Rs. 5000/6000 per quintal, respectively.
Rajasthan
Prices remained unchanged at Rs. 5,000 per quintal in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and Rs. 6,800 per quintal in Solapur, Maharashtra. However, prices rose by Rs. 100 in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, to Rs. 4,200/4,800 per quintal, while prices fell by Rs. 200 in Mahoba to Rs. 4,000/4,600, and by Rs. 75 in Mauranipur to Rs. 4,400/4,675 per quintal.
Groundnut Seeds
Price stability was observed due to sluggish trading in shelled groundnut seeds. However, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, prices of 50/60 count and 60/70 count seeds declined by Rs. 300 each to Rs. 10,200 per quintal and Rs. 9,500 per quintal, respectively.
Peanut Oil
As for loose peanut oil, prices fell by ₹35 to ₹1,275/₹1,290 per 10 kg in Rajkot, Gondal, Junagadh, and Jamnagar due to sluggish trading. Similarly, the price of a 15 kg tin of oil in Rajkot fell by ₹20 to ₹2,100. Peanut oil remained soft in Ahmedabad, Bikaner, and Newai/Tonk.
Branded Oil
Meanwhile, the price of branded peanut oil in Kota fell by ₹50 to ₹2,300 per tin (15 liters). The arrival of new supplies is putting pressure on prices. Filtered peanut oil prices weakened in Jaipur and Newai, with buyers expecting further softening, which is reducing their interest in purchasing.
Oil Cake
Due to sluggish trading in Bikaner, peanut oil cake prices fell by ₹4,000 to ₹23,000/₹28,000 per ton.
