Weekly Review - Tur
Turvar prices rise due to improved demand
Mumbai. Turvar prices have been rising this week as selling pressure at lower prices has weakened and buying pressure has increased. New turvar has begun arriving in Karnataka's producing markets, but unseasonal rains have severely damaged the crop. Consequently, the supply of new turvar has not reached the expected level. Traders say that arrivals have been significantly lower this year compared to last year. Given the weak harvest and limited supply, fears of a decline in domestic production have also increased. This situation has increased the activity of stockists and pulse millers, supporting the ongoing rise in turvar prices. Analysts predict that if supply pressures continue, the turvar market may remain strong in the future.
