Tuvar prices continue to fluctuate due to sluggish buying
Mumbai. Tuvar prices remained volatile during the current week due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal. But sellers were not willing to sell Tuvar at reduced prices. Due to which some demand for Tuvar was seen during the weekend. Due to sluggish buying, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a fluctuation of Rs. 50 per quintal this week and with this fluctuation, the price of Lemon remained at Rs. 11500/11550 per quintal at the weekend. Due to sluggish demand at increased prices, Mumbai African Tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 50 per quintal and with this decline, the price at the weekend remained at Rs. 11700 for Mozambique White, Rs. 11600 for Gajari, Rs. 11200 for Malawi and Rs. 12000 per quintal for Sudan New.

Burma


Due to weak export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a rise and fall of 5/10 dollars per ton this week and with this rise and fall, the price remained stable at 1460 dollars per ton at the weekend.
 

Delhi
 

Due to increase in sporadic buying, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed an improvement of 50 rupees and Desi Tuvar also witnessed an improvement of 50 rupees per quintal and with this improvement, the price of Lemon became 11990 rupees, Maharashtra line 12100 rupees and Karnataka line 12300 rupees per quintal at the weekend.
 

Maharashtra
 

Due to increase in selling and normal demand, Maharashtra Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and the weekend prices remained at Solapur Rs. 10700/12550, Akola Rs. 12600, Nagpur Rs. 12600/12750, Latur Rs. 12200, Hinganghat Rs. 11600/12250 and Ahmednagar Rs. 11600/11800 per quintal.

Karnataka

Due to weak demand from dal millers, Karnataka Tuvar prices declined by Rs. 200/300 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the weekend prices remained at Gulbarga Rs. 11800/12400, Raichur Rs. 11150/12369, Yadgir Rs. 9099/12420 and Talikota Rs. 11508/12205 per quintal.

Madhya Pradesh

Due to sluggish demand, prices of Madhya Pradesh tuvar declined by Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend reached Katni Rs. 12400/12500, Jabalpur Rs. 9000/11700, Pipariya Rs. 9000/12200 and Kareli Rs. 8500/11600 per quintal.

Others

Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak buying, Kanpur tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs. 200 per quintal and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 11000 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Raipur tuvar declined by Rs. 200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 12500/12800 per quintal at the weekend.

Tuvar Dal

Due to the fall in the price of Tuvar and slow buying, the prices of Tuvar Dal fell by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend reached Delhi Fatka Rs. 17050/17500, Katni Fatka Rs. 16350/16550, Akola Rs. 16600/17600, Latur Fatka Rs. 17500/17700, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 16700/17400 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 16900/17200 per quintal.
