Tuvar market continues to decline due to weak demand

Mumbai. Tuvar prices witnessed a continuous decline during the current week. There is selling pressure in the market, while prices could not get any solid support due to sluggishness in customer demand. Buying from stockists and dal millers remained limited, due to which the market remained bearish. According to traders, no significant increase is being seen in wholesale demand, due to which there is little possibility of improvement in prices in the near future. Due to increased selling by importers and weak domestic demand, the price of Tuvar Lemon in Chennai fell by Rs 75 per quintal this week to Rs 6375 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai African Tuvar also registered a decline of Rs. 200/300 per quintal this week and with this decline the prices remained at Mozambique White Rs. 6200/6250, Gajari Rs. 5850/5900, Matwara Rs. 5950/6000, Malawi Rs. 5850/5900 and Sudan Rs. 6650/6700 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, the prices of Burma Tuvar registered a decline of $ 25 per ton this week and with this decline the prices remained at $ 735 per ton at the end of the week. Delhi
Due to the impact of port fall and sluggish demand, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a fall of Rs. 75 per quintal and Desi Tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 125 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the price of Lemon remained at Rs. 6750 and Desi at Rs. 7000/7100 per quintal at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to increase in selling and sluggish buying, Tuvar prices witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the price of Solapur remained at Rs. 6500/7000, Akola at Rs. 6900/7100, Nagpur at Rs. 6950 and Dudhni at Rs. 6300/6900 per quintal at the weekend.
Karnataka
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Karnataka tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 6300/7233, Raichur Rs. 6127/6906, Yadgir Rs. 6000/6781 and Talikot Rs. 6197/6901 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying by dal millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices declined by Rs. 50/100 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 6900/7100, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/6600 and Pipariya Rs. 5000/6250 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round fall and weak buying, the price of Raipur Tuvar fell by Rs. 150 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7000/7150 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, the prices of Kanpur Tuvar fell by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 6900/6950 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Tuvar prices and weak demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices have become Delhi Fatka Rs. 10225/10650, Katni Fatka Rs. 9550/10100, Akola Rs. 9600/10900, Latur Fatka Rs. 10300/10500, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 9600/10500 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 11400/11500 per quintal.
