आगामी दिनों में चीनी के MSP बढ़ाये जाने पर किया जा सकता है विचार: खाद्य सचिव 
★ वर्ष 2019 से अब तक चीनी की MSP 31 रुपए/ किलो चल रही जबकि गन्ना की FRP कई बार बढ़ चुकी है। 
★ लम्बे समय से कई संस्थाएं जैसे की NFCSF और ISMA चीनी की MSP बढ़ाये जाने की मांग कर रहे हैं। 
★ सचिव के अनुसार चीनी सीजन 2024-25 में उत्पादन अच्छा रहे की उम्मीद। गन्ना एरिया 58 लाख हेक्टेयर पहुंचा पिछले सीजन से 1 लाख हेक्टेयर अधिक। 
★ सीजन 2023-24 में चीनी उप्तादन 320 लाख टन पहुंचा, सीजन 2022-23 के 328 लाख टन से कम परन्तु 270 लाख टन की घरेलु डिमांड पूरा करने में समर्थ।

Increasing the MSP of sugar can be considered in the coming days: Food Secretary
★ Since the year 2019, the MSP of sugar has been running at Rs 31 / kg, while the FRP of sugarcane has increased several times.
★ For a long time, many organizations like NFCSF and ISMA have been demanding to increase the MSP of sugar.
★ According to the secretary, production is expected to be good in the sugar season 2024-25. Sugarcane area reached 58 lakh hectares, 1 lakh hectare more than last season.
★ Sugar production reached 320 lakh tonnes in season 2023-24, less than 328 lakh tonnes in season 2022-23, but capable of meeting the domestic demand of 270 lakh tonnes.
