Mustard Prices Rise Amidst Strong Demand

New Delhi: A significant increase in mustard prices was recorded during the week of April 18–24, driven by robust buying activity from trading firms and crushing units. Notably, while the peak supply season is currently underway for mustard—the most prominent oilseed crop of the Rabi season—its wholesale market price remains above the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Consequently, government agencies are meeting with very limited success in their procurement efforts.
