बजट में गन्ना और चीनी का कोई जिक्र नहीं
★ भारत विश्व का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा चीनी उत्पादक देश है।
★ लाखों किसान, 550 चीनी मिलें, एथनोल निर्माता व हजारों कारोबारी चीनी उद्योग से जुड़े परन्तु इतने बड़े सेगमेंट का जिक्र बजट में नहीं किया गया।
★ चीनी उद्योग को उम्मीद थी कि MSP बढ़ाई जाएगी, चीनी सीरप से एथनोल उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता दी जाएगी, निर्यात पर लगा प्रतिबन्ध हटाया जाएगा परन्तु ऐसा कुछ नहीं हुआ।

There is no mention of sugarcane and sugar in the budget
★ India is the second largest sugar producing country in the world.
★ Lakhs of farmers, 550 sugar mills, ethanol manufacturers and thousands of traders are associated with the sugar industry but such a large segment was not mentioned in the budget.
★ The sugar industry was hoping that MSP would be increased, financial assistance would be given to increase ethanol productivity from sugar syrup, the ban on export would be lifted but nothing like this happened.
