Brazil is expected to export record soybean meal in 2024. USDA
Brazil is on track to set a record in soybean meal exports in 2024, with a projected total of 211.2 lakh tonnes from January to November. This is slightly lower than the 2023 total of 223.5 lakh tonnes, but December's expected export volume of over 12.3 lakh tonnes will push exports past the previous year's record.
In addition to Brazil, Argentina is also contributing significantly to global soybean meal exports, benefiting from favorable conditions. However, despite this strong export activity from Brazil and Argentina, India is facing lower demand for its soybean meal, largely due to the relatively low prices of meal in both of these countries, which are making their products more competitive.
