बढ़ते निर्यात को देख बासमती चावल का रिकॉर्ड उत्पादन पहुंचने की उम्मीद
★ पिछले 4 वर्षों में बासमती चावल निर्यात 85% बढ़ा।
★ 950$/टन के न्यूनतम निर्यात भाव होने के बावजूद निर्यात में बढ़ोत्तरी देखी गयी।
★ एपीडा के अनुसार पिछले वित्त वर्ष में 45.61 लाख टन बासमती चावल का हुआ निर्यात। यह निर्यात 150 देशों को किया गया।
★ पिछले वित्त वर्ष में सऊदी अरब ने 11 लाख टन, इराक ने 8.24, ईरान ने 6.7, यमन ने 3.07, UAE ने 3.08, अमरीका ने 2.34 लाख टन आयात किया।
★ ऊंची कीमतों को देख पंजाब, हरियाणा में बिजाई बढ़ी। पंजाब में गत सीजन में बिजाई 6 लाख हेक्टेयर (कुल धान की 32 लाख हेक्टेयर) पहुंची 2022 में बासमती धन का एरिया 4.95 लाख हेक्टेयर था।
★ इस वर्ष पंजाब में एरिया 10 लाख हेक्टेयर व हरियाणा में 7.8 लाख हेक्टेयर पहुंच सकता है।

Basmati rice is expected to reach record production in view of rising exports
★ Basmati rice exports increased by 85% in the last 4 years.
★ Despite the minimum export price of 950$/ton, exports saw an increase.
★ According to APEDA, 45.61 lakh tonnes of Basmati rice was exported in the last financial year. This export was done to 150 countries.
★ In the last financial year, Saudi Arabia imported 11 lakh tonnes, Iraq 8.24, Iran 6.7, Yemen 3.07, UAE 3.08, USA 2.34 lakh tonnes.
★ Seeing the high prices, sowing increased in Punjab, Haryana. In Punjab, sowing reached 6 lakh hectares (32 lakh hectares of total paddy) in the last season. In 2022, the area of Basmati rice was 4.95 lakh hectares.
★ This year the area can reach 10 lakh hectare in Punjab and 7.8 lakh hectare in Haryana.
