Export Sales data released this morning by USDA showed total corn sales of 2.07 MMT for the week ending February 5. That was nearly double the previous week and 25.5% higher than the same week last year. Japan was the largest buyer at 616,600 MT, with 336,800 MT sold to South Korea and 274,900 MT to Colombia. Sales for the 2026/27 marketing year were reported at 60,000 MT.
CONAB trimmed its Brazilian corn production estimate by 0.42 MMT to 138.45 MMT, with the second crop reduced by 1.2 MMT. The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange reported Argentina’s corn crop at 43% good/excellent, down 1% from the previous week.
