ICE Cotton futures strengthened on Monday, with nearby contracts up 12 to 15 points. Crude oil futures rose by 4 cents per barrel to $61.02, while the US dollar index increased by $0.075 to $99.705.
The Seam’s online auction on October 31 showed 1,219 bales sold at an average price of 62.50 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index was down 95 points on Friday to 76.45 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks remained steady on October 31, at 13,749 bales.
