GEMA Urges Policy Support for Higher Ethanol Blending
★ The Grain Ethanol Manufacturers Association (GEMA) has urged the Government of India to further increase ethanol blending, aiming to boost farmers’ incomes, create rural employment, and strengthen agricultural value-chains.
★ Dr. C.K. Jain, President of GEMA, said, “Under the 20% blending program, nearly 20 million tonnes of grain are being utilized, providing small and marginal farmers with stable markets and better income.”

* Accelerate research and commercialization of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
* Introduce ethanol blending in diesel
* Ensure policy support for grain-based ethanol units
★ Dr. Jain added, “A strong ethanol policy will not only reduce dependence on imported crude oil but also ensure sustainable prosperity for millions of grain-growing farmers.”
