★ Apart from this, no announcement has been made so far for Gujarat.
★ Crop arrival pressure has not yet developed in Karnataka mandis. Crop quality in Maharashtra and Karnataka is not good. Weather supported the crop during the initial stage, but later conditions turned unfavorable.
★ During SAAF 2026 held in Myanmar, farmers and traders believe that tur production there may be limited to 3.00 lakh tonnes, down from the earlier estimate of 3.50 lakh tonnes. Old stock is estimated at 0.50 lakh tonnes.
★ From April to December, tur imports are expected to be around 11.67 lakh tonnes, compared to 11.14 lakh tonnes in the previous season.
★ Due to declining prices and lower production, December tur imports are expected at 2.21 lakh tonnes.
★ Imports during April to November were lower than the same period last year.
★ IGrain India believes that tur imports in the current financial year could reach a record level of 13–14 lakh tonnes.
