In a late Tuesday interview, U.S. Trade Representative Greer said there is a possibility that he and Treasury Secretary Bessent could meet with Chinese officials before April, around the time President Trump is expected to meet President Xi Jinping. Secretary Bessent met China’s Vice Premier in Davos on Wednesday, where trade talks were reported to be positive.
Rains are expected in northern parts of Brazil next week, which could slow the pace of early harvest. Meanwhile, southern parts of Brazil as well as some regions of Argentina are expected to remain relatively dry.
