Export Sales data showed wheat sales of 460,655 metric tons for the week ending November 27. This was in the middle of trade estimates ranging from 250,000 to 600,000 metric tons. Sales were up 27.4% from the previous week and 21.8% higher than the same week last year.
Total wheat export sale commitments have now reached 18.94 million metric tons, or 696 million bushels, which is 21.8% higher than the same period last year.
According to Expana estimates, EU soft wheat production for 2026/27 is projected at 128.3 million metric tons, which, if realized, would be down 8.5 million metric tons from last year. Meanwhile, SovEcon estimates Russia’s 2026 wheat crop at 83.8 million metric tons, unchanged from the previous forecast but down 5 million metric tons from the prior year.
