इस्मा ने एक बार फिर सरकार से चीनी निर्यात पर लगे प्रतिबन्ध को हटानी की मांग की
★ इस्मा के अनुसार आगामी सीजन में चीनी उत्पादन 290 लाख टन पहुंचने की उम्मीद, अगर निर्यात प्रतिबंधित रहा तो 30 सितम्बर 2024 (सीजन के अंत) में क्लोजिंग स्टॉक 133.5 लाख टन बच सकता है जो खपत के मुकाबले लगभग आधा।
★ इस्मा के अनुसार 2024-25 के दौरान चीनी उत्पादन 331.1 लाख टन पहुंच सकता है।
★ 1 अक्टूबर 2024 को 90.5 लाख टन ओपनिंग स्टॉक व चीनी की उपलब्धता 423.5 लाख टन रहने की उम्मीद। 290 लाख टन खपत के बाद 30 सितम्बर को 133.5 लाख टन का विशाल स्टॉक बचने के दिए गये आकड़े।
★ इस्मा ने सरकार से चीनी की MSP 42 रुपए प्रति किलो करने को कहा।
★ गत सप्ताह खाद्य सचिव ने कहा था कि सरकार इस पर जल्द ही लेगी फैसला इसके कारण कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी देखने को मिली।

★ ब्राजील में 1-15 जुलाई तक चीनी उत्पादन 30 लाख टन पहुंचा गत वर्ष की समानअवधि से 9% कम।
★ जुलाई के मध्य तक पूरे सीजन में 169.4 लाख टन चीनी का हुआ उत्पादन। अप्रैल से शुरू होता है ब्राजील में चीनी का सीजन।

★ थाईलैंड में चीनी उत्पादन में गिरावट की आशंका।
★ थाईलैंड सरकार के अनुसार दिसंबर से शुरू हुए सीजन में 17 अप्रैल तक 87.7 लाख टन चीनी उत्पादन हुआ जबकि थाई शुगर मिलर्स कारपोरेशन ने 75 लाख टन उत्पादन के आकड़े दिए।

ISMA once again demanded the government to lift the ban on sugar exports
★ According to ISMA, sugar production is expected to reach 290 lakh tonnes in the upcoming season, if exports remain banned, then on 30 September 2024 (end of the season), the closing stock may remain 133.5 lakh tonnes, which is almost half as compared to the consumption.
★ According to ISMA, sugar production may reach 331.1 lakh tonnes during 2024-25.
★ On 1 October 2024, the opening stock is expected to be 90.5 lakh tonnes and the availability of sugar is expected to be 423.5 lakh tonnes. After the consumption of 290 lakh tonnes, figures of a huge stock of 133.5 lakh tonnes are given on 30 September.
★ ISMA asked the government to make the MSP of sugar Rs 42 per kg.
★ Last week the Food Secretary had said that the government will take a decision on this soon, due to which the prices were seen to increase.

★ In Brazil, sugar production from 1-15 July reached 30 lakh tons, 9% less than the same period last year.
★ Till mid-July, 169.4 lakh tons of sugar was produced in the entire season. Sugar season in Brazil starts from April.

★ There is a possibility of a decline in sugar production in Thailand.
★ According to the Thailand government, in the season that started from December, 87.7 lakh tons of sugar was produced till 17 April, while Thai Sugar Millers Corporation gave the figures of 75 lakh tons production.
