★ ऊंची कीमतें व मांग का समर्थन मिलने से उम्मीद के अनुसार मक्का बिजाई में बढ़ोत्तरी। बिजाई गत वर्ष से 7.7 लाख हेक्टेयर अधिक।

★ स्टार्च व एथनोल में मक्का की खपत लगातार बढ़ रही है, ऊंची कीमतों को देख आल इंडिया पोल्ट्री फीड एसोसिएशन ने सरकार से आयात शुल्क घटाकर मक्का आयात करने की मांग की।

★ आई ग्रेन इंडिया का मानना है कि इस वर्ष मक्का का अच्छा उत्पादन पहुंच सकता है।

★ देखना होगा कि सरकार एथनोल बनाने के लिए अन्य विकल्प जैसे कि चीनी व गन्ना रस के इस्तमाल में छूट देती हा ये नहीं, अगर छूट दी गयी तो कीमतों में गिरावट आ सकती है।

★ आई ग्रेन इंडिया की माने तो अब धीरे-धीरे मक्का में मुनाफावसूली करना समझदारी होगा।

★ Increase in maize sowing as expected due to high prices and support of demand. Sowing 7.7 lakh hectares more than last year.

★ Consumption of maize in starch and ethanol is continuously increasing, seeing the high prices, All India Poultry Feed Association demanded the government to import maize by reducing the import duty.

★ I Grain India believes that good production of maize can be achieved this year.

★ It remains to be seen whether the government will allow the use of other alternatives such as sugar and sugarcane juice to make ethanol or not. If the exemption is given, the prices may fall.

★ According to I Grain India, it will be wise to slowly book profits in maize.
