Malaysian Palm Oil Exports Fall in Early Month

Kuala Lumpur. In Malaysia, the world's second-largest producer and exporter of palm oil, while surplus stocks of this important vegetable oil have surged to record levels and crude palm oil production is robust,

export performance is weak. Data from private cargo surveyor firms shows that the decline in palm oil product exports continues.

According to data from a leading cargo surveyor firm, Intertek Testing Services (ITS), total exports of palm oil products from Malaysia decreased from 728,995 tons during November 1-15 to 613,172 tons during December 1-15, 2025. 

Within this, shipments of crude palm oil increased from 150,495 tons to 165,380 tons, RBD palm stearin from 48,830 tons to 71,717 tons, and palm fatty acid distillate from 20,850 tons to 33,010 tons.

However, shipments of RBD palm oil decreased from 65,985 tons to 43,547 tons, RBD palm olein from 157,955 tons to 94,533 tons, and crude palm kernel oil from 16,400 tons to 2,500 tons. According to the ITS report,

palm oil product exports from Malaysia to India increased from 105,910 tonnes in the first 15 days of November to 169,500 tonnes in the first 15 days of December.

However, exports to the European Union decreased from 164,275 tonnes to 102,482 tonnes, and exports to China fell from 99,380 tonnes to 85,320 tonnes.

According to another cargo surveyor company, AmSpec, palm oil product exports from Malaysia during the period under review declined from 702,692 tonnes to 587,657 tonnes. While shipments of crude palm oil increased from 159,040 tonnes to 171,880 tonnes and RBD palm stearin exports improved from 50,754

tonnes to 62,527 tonnes, shipments of RBD palm oil decreased from 72,778 tonnes to 54,607 tonnes, RBD palm olein from 162,345 tonnes to 97,648 tonnes, crude palm kernel oil from 10,700 tonnes to 2,500 tonnes, and palm fatty acid distillate exports fell from 51,640 tonnes to 32,950 tonnes.
